Royal Albert Hall - 7th & 8th February 2002 - The first night (Thursday) at the RAH didn't have the energy of the Watford or Portsmouth1 shows. Pete seemed openly bored by the event. Things got better on Friday but still not up to the previous great shows. Pete fell off a monitor into the pit during Young Man Blues !. Friday also saw some teenager cancer sufferers at the end of the show to remind us all why we were there. Pictues of the RAH shows HERE. |

WATFORD - 31st January 2002 - The Watford show started great... and got better !. John reverted to My Wife and an addition of I Don't Even Know Myself, Getting In Tune and The Real Me. Pete's Drowned solo was possibly the best I've ever seen. WGFA included an extended jam and saving the best for last in "the encore" they played TKAA, Baby Don't You Do It, My Generation, Summertime Blues and Young Man Blues !. PORSTMOUTH - 28th January 2002 - Hmmm !. Well, I guess if this was the only show you went to see this time around you'd probably say it was great. Unfortunately it was nowhere near the same as the night before. The crowd didn't seem to be "into it" as much and it just didn't flow as well. Pete was very quiet between songs. Roger commented that the crowd was much quieter than the previous night and even had to "remind" us to help him sing Magic Bus. Some interesting changes on the night before. More from Tommy, Boris, Pete's solo spot started with I'm One and also giving us a "concoction" of Drowned/I'm One and back to Drowned to finish. A highlight for me at least !. PORTSMOUTH - 27th January 2002 - The band got off to a fantastic start tonight. Roger announced the show as the third rehersal !. Similar format to the 2000 shows but changes to the set list to include Amazing Journey, Sparks, I'm Free and Summertime Blues and Baby Don't Ya Do It in the encore. As if this wasn't enough, a strat was smashed at the end of My Generation..... fantastic !. Pictures of the Portsmouth shows HERE. |

PORTSMOUTH - 11th January 2002 - Tickets for the Portsmouth and Watford shows go on sale at 10:00am. At 7:00am the queue at Portsmouth totalled 100+ and from that point it took over 5 hours to get the tickets !. Good job it was a nice day (see photo) !. The Watford queue saw a mere 6 fans at 7:00am "massing" to over 20 when the box office opened !. |
